New connections
We offer 16 types of basic connection services for you or generators requesting connection to the distribution network, which include model standing offer terms and conditions. The following prices are the fees charged by us for the provision of basic connections. Your fee's schedule is to be read in combination with our Electricity Connection Contract - Standard Terms & Conditions (PDF), together these documents make up your connection contract.
Our fees reflect the average time taken to travel to your premises, the time typically spent on site when undertaking each type of connection service, the materials used and the support vehicles needed to do each job.
Creation of a NMI - $45.51 excluding GST. This service applies to the administrative activities associated with the creation of a National Metering Identifier (NMI) for new connections.

Alterations to existing connections
Do you need to relocate or increase the power supply to your existing connection? We offer a range of basic alteration and upgrade options to the electricity network. The following prices are the fees charged by us for the provision of basic alterations and upgrades to your existing connection. Description: Disconnect and remove existing single span of multi phase overhead service wire, and associated service fuses, and connect new single span of single phase overhead service wire and associated service fuse to the existing distribution network. Tee-Up Fees
If you need to meet a TasNetworks crew onsite at a particular date or time, you'll need to arrange a Tee-Up. Tee-Up fees are billed directly to the Electrical Contractor.
