Celebrating Current and Future Energy Leaders

In early December 2025, we had the pleasure of celebrating a major milestone for our people at our 2025 Apprentice Graduation and Awards event in the South.

Now in its second year, the event brought together apprentices, mentors, leaders and guests to recognise the dedication, skill and teamwork that underpin our apprenticeship program. The evening acknowledged apprentices who have successfully completed their qualifications across Certificate III Distribution Overhead and Certificate III Transmission Overhead, a significant achievement which marks the beginning of long and impactful careers in the energy sector.

Just as importantly, the event celebrated the mentors, leaders and teams who support apprentices throughout their journey.

Their commitment to passing on knowledge, setting high standards and fostering safe, confident learning environments is critical to building a strong and capable workforce for the future.

We were honoured to welcome The Honourable Eric Abetz MP, Treasurer, who joined us to present the Overall Apprentice of the Year Award.

This year’s recipient, Brad Prewer, was recognised for his professionalism, strong technical capability and leadership on the job. Brad consistently puts safety first, takes initiative and supports those around him. These qualities make him a highly respected member of his team and a standout example of what our apprenticeship program strives to achieve.

The 2025 awards reflected an exceptional level of engagement across the business, with 51 apprentice nominations and 38 mentor nominations received. The calibre of nominations highlighted not only individual achievement, but the collective commitment to developing skills, capability and pride in the work we do.
