The amount of revenue we earn from our customers each year is set by the Australian Energy Regulator. This regulation exists to protect customers by ensuring performance standards and by capping revenues based on expected costs forecast over a 5-year period.
We’re currently waiting for the regulator’s final decision on our Transmission Revenue and Distribution Regulatory Proposal 2019-2024. We expect this decision in late April 2019, with the decision to apply from 1 July 2019.
Before submitting our proposal to the regulator we engaged with our customers to get their views on what will be important to them over the next 5 years. Our approach differed across our transmission and distribution customers.
For our transmission customers, we engaged through one-on-one discussions and small workshops where appropriate. The majority of generators and industrial customers chose to engage in our process
For our distribution customers, we’ve undertaken a range of activities such as workshops, public forums, trials and quantitative analysis
