Bright Sparks School Program
Our free electrical safety in schools program educates primary-school aged kids across Tassie about the safe use of electricity.
About the program
- It’s FREE
- Students will learn about the origins of electricity; it’s many uses and how to avoid dangerous situations
- Teachers will be able to download an Educator Resource Kit, including P-6 curriculum resources and materials to engage students in learning about electricity safety
- Presentation times include:
- Kinder to Grade 2 – 45 minutes
- Grades 3 to Grade 6 – 60 minutes
- We offer sessions to individual classes or can combine classes together, however maximum number of students per session is 30
- A teacher is required to remain in the presentation at all times
- All program presenters have current Working with Vulnerable Children registrations
What's needed
- An open space (preferably the same space for the duration of our visit eg, gymnasium, art room, music room, recreation room)
- Access to an interactive smartboard & whiteboard
- A small table or bench area for setting up props & demonstrating activities
