Dress for Success
Dress for Success is part of a global movement of change, empowering women to obtain economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women to thrive in work and in life.
Dress for Success will put their grant towards the establishment of a new Career Centre, which will provide greater access to technology and support services to enable women to achieve self-sufficiency through gainful employment.
Gran’s Van
Grans Van has been operating for 15 years providing food relief and support services to those in need in the Devonport community.
The funding received through the Resilient Communities Grants Program will bring Grans Van a step closer to upgrading their van to a truck, which will significantly boost their service offering and further extend their reach to surrounding communities.
Blueline Laundry
Blueline Laundry is a community based organisation creating meaningful employment opportunities for people facing vulnerable circumstances through its two commercial laundries in Hobart and Launceston.
We're supporting Blueline to develop and implement a new online Learning Management System which will enable them to continue to provide employment pathways to people with disabilities, from disadvantaged backgrounds and those from CALD communities.
Live Well Tasmania
Live Well Tasmania’s mission is to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community using a whole of community wellbeing approach. They provide programs, projects, workshops and events from their Community Hub located in central Wynyard.
With their Resilient Communities Grant, Live Well are installing a wheelchair ramp at the Community Hub enabling people with mobile disabilities and support needs to access their health and wellbeing workshops, creating a more inclusive space for the community.
Palliative Care Tasmania
Pallative Care Tasmania is the peak representative body for hospice and palliative care in Tasmania working to ensure all Tasmanians, no matter where they live, have access to quality palliative care support and services.
With thier grant, Pallative Care are developing a new online referral pathway tool, giving all Tasmanian GP’s access to immediate, up to date information to better support their patients living with a life-limiting illness or chronic medical condition.
CORES – Community Response to Eliminating Suicide
Suicide and self-harm continue to be major issues in rural communities throughout Australia. CORES provides a vital community capacity building program centred on prevention and intervention of suicide at a local level.
CORES are using their Resilient Community Grant to deliver a training program to high school students, teachers, carers and parents in the North West of Tasmania, providing individuals with the essential skills and resources required to identify and respond to a person at risk of suicide.
Dorset Community Association Inc
Dorset Community House serves the broader Dorset community and provides a range of community based services to support their local communities in ways that make a real difference in people’s lives.
We're supporting the new outreach program, ‘Out and About’ which will take the services offered at the Dorset Community House, such as no interest loans, food supplies and service provider referrals, to people located in isolated pockets of Tasmania’s North East.
Agency Arts Health
Agency is a small yet agile organisation based in North West Tasmania dedicated to connecting health professionals and arts workers with people at risk of social disconnection to create participatory arts experiences together.
Agency will use their Resilient Communities Grant to deliver a series of engagement workshops and on country excursions with Aboriginal community members to develop a series of digital stories telling of their connection to land and culture in the Central Coast region.
