We're committed to engaging with you about our activities and plans to create a better tomorrow. Our engagement framework (PDF) assists us to drive a culture of customer first aligned to our Customer Charter (PDF).
We're holding community meetings to talk about the planned network improvements for Strahan and Zeehan, and the progress we've made since our last forum in September. Our free electrical safety in schools program educates primary-school aged kids across Tassie about the safe use of electricity. Trained presenters deliver interactive sessions tailored to children (kindergarten to Year 6) that run for a minimum of 45 minutes. Would you like us to visit your child’s school? Contact us and request a session.
We value our relationship with you and our Customer Council is one of the ways we encourage two-way communication.
Our Customer Council is made up of Tasmanian customers and consumer representatives and assists us to have an ongoing conversation about issues that interest you, such as the price, reliability and safety of electricity, the costs and benefits of possible projects, and the environmental impacts of our business.
We provide funding to like-minded, community-based organisations to deliver an initiative that'll make a tangible, long-term difference to the Tasmanian community.
West Coast Engagement Forums - Overview
In September 2019 we held community engagement sessions on the West Coast. The sessions followed community concerns that the supply in Strahan and Zeehan was not meeting community, or our own expectations, with frequent and sometimes extended power outages. We wanted to hear the community concerns first hand, seek feedback on ways we can improve our services and share our plans to improve the reliability of supply in these areas.
