Our 2014 Submission
The transmission Revenue Proposal for the current regulatory period, submitted in May 2014 to the AER, was based on our business strategy to reduce revenue in real (constant dollar) terms and continues to reduce the costs to our customers. Our current transmission regulatory period is for 5 years and commenced on 1 July 2014 and will end on 30 June 2019.
Our capital works program, which peaked in 2010, continues to reduce with our focus now on maintaining and replacing the existing transmission assets. There are a small number of development projects that will be required to address areas of localised growth and transmission network security issues.

Submissions to AER on Our Proposal
A number of our customers and the AER’s Consumer Challenge Panel made submissions on our transmission revenue proposal as part of the AER’s review process. These documents have been published on the AER's website: TasNetworks' determination.
We provided a response to the AER on some of the common issues raised by customers and customer representative groups. We also responded to issues raised by the AER’s consumer challenge panel, which reiterated many customer concerns. Please view a copy of our responses.
