If you're building or renovating, you may need to upgrade, relocate or replace your existing connection to the electricity network. As with new connections, we offer a range of alteration and upgrade options for basic connections to the electricity distribution network.
The fees charged by us for the provision of basic connection services reflect the average time taken to travel to your premises, the time typically spent on site when undertaking each type of connection service, the materials used and the support vehicles needed to do each job.
Where the request for a new or modified basic connection is made by you, a property developer or your electrical contractor, we'll bill you/the applicant directly once the requested connection has been established.
If the connection is requested by an electricity retailer on your behalf (as is usually the case in relation to new or modified connections to support the fitment of solar panels, for example) we may bill your electricity retailer who will then bill you for the connection service. In these cases the final connection fee may differ from the charges published below.
