Underground cables
Some industries require you to work near our assets. There are rules that state how close you can work around our assets in order to maintain a safe distance, as well as training you may need to have.
What training do I need to work around underground cables?
To work around underground cables, you either need to have completed the relevant training or, when you’re working near underground cables, be supervised by someone who's completed the relevant training.

Training
To be trained as an Authorised Person, you need to complete either UETTDREL16 Working safely near live electrical apparatus or UETTDREL14 Working safely near live electrical apparatus as a non-electrical worker.
