Powerline inspections

Tasmania has a large network of powerlines across the state. We use helicopters to inspect our powerlines. They can sometimes be slow and sometimes hover at low levels.

It can be noisy, but it's also really important.

By undertaking inspections of powerlines, we're aiming to reduce the risk of bushfires and unplanned power outages.

Over the next few months we'll be carrying out distribution powerline inspections in the following areas:

  • Dilston
  • Karoola
  • Legana
  • Turners Marsh
  • Lower Turners Marsh
  • Pipers River
  • Riverside
  • Rocherlea
